Stephens Elementary focuses on reading, language arts, math, science and social studies. These core subjects serve as the main educational components, with art, music, physical education and computer literacy rounding out the curriculum.

Stephens also has state-of-the-art technology and other amenities: 3 - 4 computers in each classroom, a 28-station computer lab, Distance Learning Lab, Cyber Time & Space Travel Theater with a Comparative City Studies Center, Banking Kiosk, School-Based Health and Behavioral Clinics, Barber Shop, Arcade and Library Media Center.
