Mission
The mission of the Little Rock School District is to equip students with skills and knowledge to realize aspirations, think critically and independently, learn continuously and become productive citizens. Exciting Projects
The state-of-the-art, 400,000 square-foot high school in southwest Little Rock — the district’s first new high school in 50 years — opened in 2020 to students zoned for McClellan and JA Fair. The 2,250-student campus includes an advanced 21st century learning environment and expanded career tech opportunities. LRSD's K-12 Ignite Digital Academy opens in 2021 for virtual learners.Achieve Teams
Achieve Teams are a targeted, combined effort between school personnel, parents, special service staff and interventionists who work to provide additional support to students. We are also the state’s largest provider of public preschool programs.
