Literacy Night

  • Wakefield hosted Literacy Night for parents of Kindergarten through 2nd grade parents on Thursday, October 2, 2013. The purpose for Literacy Night is to inform parents of the academic skills their child needs to master in each grade level for reading and writing and to assist parents in ideas of activities they could do with their child at home to reinforce skills being taught in the classroom. Parents received a packet full of materials to assist them at home with games and activities.  Afterward, pizza and drinks were served. What a successful night!
