Little Rock West High School of Innovation
-
In the spring of 2019, students and parents in West Little Rock made it clear they wanted an option for high school that was closer to home. They wanted something new, flexible and innovative! In the fall of 2019, Little Rock West High School of Innovation opened its doors with 70 eager ninth graders and a team of educators ready to explore new ways to educate their students.
Students and teachers at LRW focus on project-based learning, providing our students voice and choice as to how they are assessed and prove mastery of their content. Little Rock West HSOI provides opportunities for students to participate in AP courses, both onsite and virtually, gain industry certifications through enrolling in classes at Metro and incorporates community service learning into every student’s education, planning projects which serve our community and allow our students to give back.
With the plan to add a new class each year until we are grades 9-12, with 100 in-house seats per grade and unlimited virtual seats, Little Rock West High School of Innovation is excited to grow into the leader in blended, innovative learning in central Arkansas!
