    Code of Conduct

The LRSD Code of Conduct will serve as a blueprint for how we will use discipline as a tool for restoration, accountability, and equity while we support the whole child socially, emotionally, and academically.  The Code of Conduct presents a new approach that will require a paradigm shift districtwide. Therefore, it is imperative that you thoroughly review and familiarize yourself with the information, as it outlines our non-negotiable pathway to improved student behavior, parental involvement, and academic achievement.

While it is imperative that you read the entire document, there are sections that are specific to your role as parents and caregivers. Those areas are as follows:

    1. Parents and Caregivers (pg. 7)
    2. Core Values (Pg. 15)
    3. Core Beliefs (Pg. 16)
    4. Core Concepts (Pg.17)
    5. Student Rights and Responsibilities (pg 21)
    6. Classroom Strategies (Pg. 30)
    7. District Rules (Pg. 35)
    8. Disciplinary Response Cycle (pg. 37)
    9. Level of Consequences & Interventions (pg. 43)
    10. Guide to Restorative Interventions (Pg. 52)
    11. Guide to Temporary Student Removal and Exclusion (Pg. 60)

Please take time to have meaningful conversations with your student(s) about the Code of Conduct.  Remember, ongoing communication and collaboration between students, parents, and schools are key to creating a supportive and conducive learning environment. We look forward to working together to help your student(s) have a successful and rewarding school year, as we “Reimagine LRSD.”
