Overview

  • Brady uses the Arkansas State Standards as the basis of our instruction in literacy, math, science, social studies, art, music, physical education, library/media, and coding.  The literacy curriculum is based in the understanding of the Science of Reading.  Our math instruction is steeped in research used to develop the math standards.  Two Community Based Instruction (CBI) classes are offered for students who have significant cognitive disabilities, and a Gifted and Talented program is offered for students who have been identified through testing and obserations to meet the criteria.  An after-school tutoring program in math and literacy is offered, in addition to clubs of high interest. Technology-based programs, Lexia, are used to reinforce and strength skills in math and literacy.

Brady's clubs include  Mathletes, Quiz Bowl, Science Club, Technology Club, Math Club,  Art Club, Music Ensemble, and Broadcasting.

History: The original school structure was built in the early 1920's and administered by the Pulaski County Special School District. During the 1950's, the Little Rock city limits expanded to include the Brady neighborhood. At this time, the Little Rock School District assumed operation of the present modern brick structure. The facility has attractive landscaping and an appealing playground, and it provides students with a comfortable learning environment.
