The English Department knows that literacy is at the heart of education.  We provide our students with a rigorous curriculum to meet their diverse learning needs.  PHMS offers various levels of English classes designed to meet learners at their skill level.  At each level, students focus on reading, writing, grammar, vocabulary, word study, technology, and more.

Pulaski Heights provides additional support in reading for students who have been diagnosed or show characteristics of dyslexia.   In addition to these classes, we offer students extra support with an advanced word study course that focuses on word knowledge, spelling, and comprehension.
