PTA Box Top Collection

  • WE STILL NEED YOUR HELP!

We reached our goal of $1000.00 for the 2003-04 school year by collecting General Mills box tops,Tyson tear strips and Shurfine labels and we are still collecting.  Please continue send box tops to your child's teacher. Classes that turn in a least $5.00 worth of proofs per month are eligible to participate in the monthly grab bag pull.  Prizes consists of classroom quantities of donated  pencils, erasers, candy, gum and et cetera.  After a class has turned in $25.00 worth of valid proofs they are eligible for the monthly pull for an ice cream party.

Congratulations to Mrs. Thomas'class.  They won the ice cream party for the October contest and Mrs. Spradlin's class won the November contest. Keep up the good work. For additional info about qualifying items click here.

We are also saving Tyson tear strips and labels from Shurfine, Shurfresh and Price Saver products. These count toward the class totals and can be turned in to your child's teacher along with the box tops.  The first $25.00 worth of proofs benefit the PTA's software fund.  After that amount is reached, the classroom teacher gets half of what is collected and the other portion benefits King's PTA.

Remember to send us your Campbell's labels, used print cartridges and out-of -service cell phones.   Classrooms are awarded 1 point per label (unless stated otherwise by Campbell's) and the phones and cartridges are worth 5 points.    The class at each grade level with greatest number of points  as of May 16, 2003 will receive ice cream sundae cups. The cell phones and cartridges are  sent to a recycling center who awards the school points that can be redeemed for NEW print cartridges for the school. Our  Campbell's goal is 38,500 labels so that we can order a violin for the Music Deptartment.

Don't forget to ask your friends and relatives to help your child's class meet their goal.

If you need additional information about what to save, please contact our Box Tops/Labels Coordinator, Ms. James @ rita.james@lrsd.org or call 501-447-5145.
