LRSD partners with the Central Arkansas Library System (CALS) to issue students tech cards, which provide all students with access to digital reading and research materials. Western Hills students will receive their cards by September 8, 2023. 

With tech cards, students are able to access a wide range of grade-level appropriate materials through the Student Portal on the CALS website. The library's digital resources cover a wide range of topics and meet many educational needs. In addition to encyclopedias and databases of reputable sources for research, we also offer language learning, test preparation tools, and online courses. Many of these resources are helpful for parents/guardians as well! 

Don't forget to visit the "Read & Listen" page for links to downloadable and digital content for eBooks, audiobooks, music, and magazines that you can access at ANY TIME!

Some of the online resources may require the use of a PIN in addition to the tech card number. The PIN on every Tech Card is set to 1234 for your convenience. Ms. Meinzer is able to give you your tech card number if you lose it, but the physical card cannot be replaced. 

Tech Cards cannot be used to check out books or other physical materials from CALS, but you may visit the CALS website for more information about obtaining a library card for yourself and anyone in your household. Check out a few of my favorite resources to the right!
