At Otter Creek Elementary we incorporate character education into all that we do. We encourage the development of positive social skills in a secure environment for our students. Our school is 1-to-1 with Chromebooks available for individual use by all students. Our computer lab contains all new computers. Our media center is equipped with Destiny, a fully automated circulation system. All classrooms are equipped with SmartBoards. All teachers are Highly Qualified with 50% having Masters Degrees, one instructional leader with an Educational Specialist Degree, and three National Board Certified Teachers. We also have teachers with ESL (English As A Second Language) certification. Our music room contains a Casio Piano Lab.
We have many special programs and encourage building the school community and engagement through use of a House System. We have a very supportive Parent Teacher Association.
History: Otter Creek Elementary School was built in 1979. It was part of the Pulaski County Special School District until 1987 when the school was annexed into the Little Rock School District. The school was named for the subdivision in which it was built and the small creek which marks the south boundary of the grounds.
Uniforms: White, navy, yellow, red, or light blue shirts - long or short sleeves with a collar. Turtlenecks in white, navy, or light blue, khaki, or plaid - pants, shorts, jumper, or split skirt/skort. Fridays only - students may wear jeans or jean shorts and Otter Creek shirts or must be in uniform. No denim, except Fridays. Belts required. Otter Creek T-Shirts can be worn anyday!

Home Access Center
Web tool web-based tool that allows parents/guardians to monitor your child's attendance, schedule, grades, and classwork. This includes access to interim progress and report cards. Requires an Internet connection.
